Cypress Editing is owned and operated by Jennifer Zaczek Kepler, a former in-house managing editor with extensive copyediting, proofreading, and project management experience. A ten-year veteran of the publishing industry, Jennifer started Cypress Editing in March 2013. She brings a multitude of skills and publishing knowledge to every project and is committed to helping her clients publish high-quality books. Cypress Editing is based out of Portland, Oregon, but serves clients all over the world. Clients include independent authors, traditional publishers, and businesses.

Jennifer Zaczek Kepler is a copyeditor, proofreader, and writer. Before launching her full-time freelance career, Jennifer was the managing editor for a trade academic publisher and an editor for a multipurpose publishing company. She also spent time copyediting and writing for two newspapers, consulting undergraduate students on their writing at a university writing center, and reading submissions to The Florida Review literary journal. She has her bachelor’s in creative writing with a minor in magazine journalism. Her goal as a freelancer is to provide positive experiences to her clients by offering high-quality editorial services.
